For the Razer Streaming app, you will need to put the Key Light Chroma into pairing mode by holding down the button for 3 seconds, and then following the instructions on the app to add the device via Bluetooth.

The Razer Key Light Chroma can be connected to a PC using the Razer Synapse software (by adding it as a WiFi device, since it has no USB connection), or from the Razer Streaming mobile app via a Bluetooth connection.Ĭonnecting the device is fairly easy: on Razer Synapse, all you have to do is click on your avatar, then click Add WiFi Device, and the software itself should do the rest and show the light on the Synapse Dashboard. However, careful usage is obviously recommended as the light’s area is definitely prone to damage, and I would wager it would be a bit hard to find a replacement. The pole has a solid steel construction, and the light itself is encased in hard plastic that should protect it from some damage if dropped. I have no complaints about the construction of the device. Instead, a simple click-switch would have sufficed even at the cost of aesthetics. Due to it being flushed into the frame, and despite having ragged edges for easy maneuverability, it was hard to use it without applying some pressure. The switch can be a bit iffy to use if you plan to manually switch the light on and off. The Key Light itself doesn’t feature many input ports or buttons, there is only a power port and pairing button at the back, and a flat power switch on the bottom right corner of the frame. Setting up the light from scratch was largely painless, although hauling around nearly 2KG of equipment as you screw in the nuts and bolts requires some pre-planning before you clamp it to your desk and mount the light on the top.ĭepending on your setup, you might require two of the Key Light Chroma to achieve optimal lighting for your streams - even though the 2800 lumens is bright enough to light up a small desk - but the $249.99 pricing is a massive investment to make. The light itself measures around 360mm x 260mm, and is powered via an A/C adapter. It comes with a small clamp mount, so it requires absolutely minimal desk space, and is propped on a pole with a range of 553mm to 1350mm to achieve the right lighting angle. The Key Light Chroma is a largely simple looking device, with a flat and slim profile that should fit into any setup easily. And if you are invested into the Razer Chroma ecosystem, the direct integration of the device makes it even better.
If you are an online streamer that wants to add a bit of polish to their video quality, the Key Light Chroma offers enough flexibility and control to make it look exactly how you would want it.
